Definitely a no-go from the start.
From the day this baby was born, it was bound to failure. An overly-expensive device labelled with the "PSP" trademark but unable to play PSP games, all download-only titles with insane prices. More like a crippled PSP, I would say.
I do not think anybody in the whole wide world would be surprised the PSP Go died this fast in its lifespan. Especially after Sony announced their Xperia Play which has more reasonably-priced download-only Android games and can be used as a phone while taking advantage of the phone capabilities.
Rest in peace in overly-rich Sony fanboys' drawers, nobody would feel as though the world lost something. Probably only gaming websites' "Top 10 Gaming Hardware Failures" articles would remember you, together with Virtual Boy, which, sadly, actually sported more innovation.
Oh but it's a cool-looking paperweight though.
"My auntie got me a PSP game for my birthday. Unfortunately she didn't know mine was a PSP Go."
ReplyDeleteMy uncle got me a GBA game for my birthday. Unfortunately she didn't know mine was a DS- oh wait it works.
ReplyDeleteFailed branding, failed product. Why slap the name PSP when it can't play PSP games? Jokes.
